TYPE + LAYOUT EXPLORATION

The purpose of these exercises are to familiarize yourself with typography, page architecture, hierarchy, contrast, and balance in visual communication. It will also refine your Adobe Illustrator skills and typographic sensibility.

Design a series of 6 posters to promote a typographic exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art. First develop 3 comps for each typeface, thus creating a total of 18 designs. As a class we will critique and develop one final comp each to be mounted and presented to the class.
